Highlights from India’s Women’s Cricket World Cup 2022 match vs Australia: Meg Lanning was only three runs short of a century, but she guided a clinical Australian chase against India in Auckland to keep Australia’s spotless tournament record intact. With Lanning’s 97, Australia chased down a target of 278, which is the biggest successful run chase by a team in a Women’s World Cup.
The chase got off to a terrific start for Australia, with openers Alyssa Healy and Rachael Haynes putting on a 121-run combination in under 20 overs. The two players were bowled in rapid succession, but Lanning and Ellyse Perry put the Indians out of contention with a 103-run combination.
